Liv – URL Launcher

Last updated: August 29, 2025

Overview

Thank you for using Liv – URL Launcher (the “Extension”). Your privacy is important. This policy explains what information the Extension accesses, how it is used, and your choices. This document applies only to the Extension and any companion pages where this policy is hosted.

What We Collect

We do not collect, store, or sell personal data. The Extension operates locally in your browser. We do not run servers to receive your data, and we do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies.

If you choose to sync your extension settings via your browser’s built‑in sync (e.g., Chrome Sync), your data may be stored and encrypted by the browser vendor per their policies. We do not have access to that data.

Local Data & Storage

The Extension may save configuration such as your list of URLs or UI preferences using chrome.storage / browser.storage or equivalent. This data stays on your device (and in your browser sync if you enable it) and is used only to provide core functionality.

Permissions Used

To function, the Extension may request certain browser permissions. These are strictly scoped to the features you use.

Permission Why it’s needed
storage Save your custom URL list and settings locally.
activeTab (optional) Allow launching a URL in the current tab when you explicitly use the Extension UI.
tabs (optional) Open or switch to a tab for a selected URL. No tab contents are collected or transmitted.

If your published build uses a different set of permissions, update this section to match your manifest.json.

Third‑Party Services

The Extension does not send data to third‑party services. If you open a third‑party website using the Extension, that site’s own privacy policy will apply to your use of that site.

Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

Your browser vendor may process synced settings on servers located in different countries. We do not control or access that processing.

Security

Because data is stored locally by your browser, you control its security. Keep your device and browser up to date, and protect access with a strong password or OS login.

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
